ingredients
2 cups masoor daal
1/2 tsp dhania
salt to taste
1 tsp desi ghee
1tbsp jeera
3-4 tsp red chilli peppers
for daal
-wash daal and place it in a wide and hollow pan
-add 2x more water to daal
-add salt to taste, and turmeric powder
-cover pan and heat on med-high heat, stirring sparatically
-after 20 minutes, put on high heat to dry out water. let heat for 10 more minutes
for tadka
-put ghee in very small pan on high heat
-add jeera and wait until it gets brown
-add red chlli peppers and mix; immediately pour on top of your daal and serve!
